THE LUTHIER

Born in Ribera, Sicily, Giacomo Guadagna studied classical guitar before earning a master’s degree in Musicology at the University of Bologna.

His path into lutherie included professional training in the construction of bowed and plucked instruments, violin making under Master Marcello Bellei, and specialized study of mosaic-rosette construction with John Weissenrieder and Rafael López.

Today, Guadagna works from his workshop in Tuscany, where he builds classical guitars, steel-string guitars and ukuleles. His Venere model is an original concert-guitar design developed through years of work focused on structural stability, tonal balance and clarity.
