Jeff Sigurdson Spruce Hauser Model Classical Guitar
ALEN’S ASSESSMENT
This handmade Hauser-inspired classical guitar combines a European spruce soundboard with Indian rosewood back and sides. Traditional Hauser-style fan bracing supports a clear, articulate response, rich overtones and balanced projection.
The Spanish cedar neck and ebony fingerboard provide a familiar, precise playing experience, while the French-polished finish allows the instrument to resonate naturally. A protective hard case is included.
Recommended for advanced players, conservatory students and serious performers seeking a handmade traditional instrument with clarity, balance and classic Hauser character.
THE LUTHIER
Jeff Sigurdson is a Canadian guitar maker with more than 800 handmade instruments completed during his career.
He studied traditional Spanish guitar-building techniques at Douglas College and trained with Michael Dunn. Between 1992 and 2000, he worked with Jean Larrivée, bracing soundboards and fitting neck-to-body joints.
Sigurdson’s Hauser-inspired instruments combine traditional construction, carefully selected tonewoods and professional playability. This model offers an accessible entry into his handmade work without compromising the essential qualities of a serious classical guitar.
